Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add a Product Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site.
Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, the intern will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting continuous improvement projects for production. Various technical and business skills will be developed through the projects and interaction with different team members and the customer.
What a typical day looks like:
- Analyze current manufacturing process, providing data driven improvements on the process area assigned by the engineering manager
- Present improvement proposal to Engineering manager and team for feedback and approval
- Execute, with Engineering team support, project improvements
- Create/revise Manufacturing Process Instructions and/or Preventative Maintenance Instructions based on the improvements implemented
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
- Currently enrolled Senior pursuing degree Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited university
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Mini-tab or equivalent data analysis tools
- Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, high energy and strong time management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others
- Demonstrated leadership skills and team orientation
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
