Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Project Manager, Product Engineer role will be responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information / documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.

What a typical day looks like:
- Handle product transfer and new product setup, with full participation in the NPI (New Product Introduction) process.
- Direct support to CFT and Production area.
- Follow up, execute, and plan engineering tests for validation processes, and define manufacturing process routes.
- Suggest improvements to processes, work instructions, materials, or product changes to ensure superior product quality and production yield.
- Resolve product-related and design-related issues, perform failure analysis, and work with the process and quality teams on corrective actions.
- Interact with customers and cross-functional teams on product-related issues and engineering changes.
- Provide product training to manufacturing and process engineers for a better understanding of the product.
- Request, handle, and administer golden samples and engineering samples of final products and/or piece parts.
- Establish, operate, and maintain standard methods for technical information exchange with customers, and manage product drawings and specifications.
- Manage and implement bills of materials (BOMs), including BOM scrubbing and control.
- Manage and implement engineering changes (ECOs), support cost reduction initiatives, establish process control variables, and participate in the development and update of PFMEA for new products.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Solid experience as a Product Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, preferably Agile.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, BAAN, or Flexflow.
- Knowledge of ECOs, MCOs, deviations, and material dispositions.
- Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) creation, interpretation, and structure definition for production.
- Experience introducing new projects and participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward; experience leading engineering and technical personnel is a plus.
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
