To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add to our Zalaegerszeg team a
Junior Software Engineer
Reporting directly to the Information Technology Manager, in this role you will be responsible for developing a critical new shop floor application that will be deployed and used worldwide. You'll be instrumental not only in writing clean code but also in understanding and implementing the infrastructure to run it sustainably in a modern enterprise application environment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across a diverse technology stack, including C# Web APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript-based frontends (React and Angular), and backend services built with .NET.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design through development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using React and Angular, ensuring usability and maintainability for internal and global users.
- Work on and support existing legacy systems, such as Classic ASP, ASP.NET WebForms, and ASP.NET MVC applications built on .NET Framework and .NET (Core).
- Occasionally contribute to desktop or mobile applications using WPF or .NET MAUI, depending on project needs.
- Occasionally collaborate on backend development using Node.js or alternative frontend technologies such as Polymer, where required.
- Ensure application quality by writing and maintaining unit and integration tests, and by participating in code reviews.
- Support and improve CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps, including Build Pipelines and Release Pipelines.
- Work closely with product owners and team members to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable and well-tested solutions.
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!)
- English language skills at approximately B2 level, sufficient for daily work communication.
- Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Solid experience in C# and .NET development, including Web API development.
- Familiarity with maintaining or extending legacy applications (Classic ASP, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC) is considered an advantage.
- Experience with SQL databases and ORM technologies.
- Familiarity with application monitoring, logging tools, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
