Job Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Junior Engineer - IT located in Sriperumbudur.
What a typical day looks like:
- Responsible for MES (Flex flow) operations of Chennai Industrial Park (CIP).
- The candidate will be responsible to implement MES for production lines as per customer requirement, customization of reports and maintain 99.9% uptime.
- Overall responsible for MES configuration, implementation & maintenance.
- Responsible for 99.9% uptime of MES application.
- New customer project implementation.
- Strictly follow programming standards and program documentation requirements.
- Create software applications to automate processes as per the customer requirement.
- Configuration & customization of Flex's proprietary shop floor control applications.
- Should be well versed with Kaizen & Lean manufacturing concepts and implementation.
- Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
- Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organization

- Degree in computer science, information technology, Electronics Engineering or equivalent with minimum of 2~3 years of experience with exposure in a manufacturing environment.
- MES work experience of min 2 years.
- Solid understanding of IT application needs within a factory environment.
- Hands-on experience on MS SQL.
- Should independently write stored procedures, triggers, functions and create SQL jobs.
- Should independently configure, deploy reports using MS SQL report server.
- Should have hands-on experience on Dot net programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal effectively at all levels and be culturally sensitive in cross border work.
