Job Summary

The IT Operations Lead will be based in Manorhamilton reporting to the Senior Director IT.

What a typical day looks like:

  • You will plan, prioritize, and manage IT support and maintenance activities to ensure the organization's information systems operate reliably and that IT resources are used effectively.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software solutions to enhance the organization's information systems and support business objectives.
  • Liaise with functional and operational managers to understand current and future information needs and ensure systems are installed, configured, and maintained accordingly.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of IT professionals and support staff, ensuring effective service delivery within budget.
  • Direct daily IT operations to maximize system utilization and support business needs, including IMAC/VMAC activities and Help Desk ticket resolution.
  • Manage and support site IT infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, telephony, servers, desktop environments, printers, and barcode scanning technologies.
  • Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning for information systems, including needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Provide technical and project leadership for mid to largescale IT projects, ensuring delivery to scope, time, and quality expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IT policies, controls, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, system security, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage system operations including scheduling, backups, storage, and data retrieval processes.
  • Own and manage internal software systems throughout their lifecycle (e.g. Track & Trace), including maintenance, enhancements, user support, and vendor coordination where applicable.
  • Oversee MES application and server environments, ensuring availability, performance, integration with manufacturing operations, and alignment with site and corporate standards.
  • Apply handson technical expertise, including C# and ASP.NET, where required to support internal applications, troubleshooting, customizations, or minor development activities.
  • Implement appropriate peoplemanagement and HR practices to recruit, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated IT workforce.

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training, Computer, engineering or administrative or equivalent.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
