Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add an Imaging Engineer based in Prai, Penang .

This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-speed 3D AXI / 5DX inspection systems used in electronics manufacturing.

What a typical day looks like:

• AI Integration: Implement and refine AI features for automated defect buy-off, autonomous programming, and intelligent classification of challenging solder joints.
• Algorithm Maintenance: Develop, optimize, and debug inspection algorithms to ensure high test coverage for components such as BGA, PTH, and IGBT.
• Process Improvement: Enhance system throughput using features such as Dual Lane (DL) capabilities for concurrent board scanning.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot and support advanced AXI / vision inspection systems.
• Hardware Monitoring: Ensure system reliability through X-ray radiation monitoring and integration with Industry 4.0 systems for real-time data analysis.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with and able to operate SPI equipment.
• Familiar with and able to operate AOI equipment.
• Hands-on experience in SPI and AOI troubleshooting and process improvement will be preferred.
• Experience in SMT / PCBA manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in manufacturing or inspection processes.
• Exposure to AXI / 5DX (X-ray inspection) will be an added advantage.
