Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Financial Project Manager located in Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Project Management Manager, Fianancial Project Manager role will be responsible for to lead and oversee financial-focused projects across the organization. This role is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects that impact budgets, forecasting, financial systems, cost optimization, and strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with solid financial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead end-to-end financial projects, including budgeting initiatives, financial system implementations, cost reduction programs, and process improvements.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts aligned with business objectives.
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Executive stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Monitor project financials, manage risks, track KPIs, and report status, variances, and outcomes to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve financial planning, reporting accuracy, and operational performance.
- Facilitate project governance meetings, decision forums, and post-project reviews.
- Manage change control, stakeholder communications, and adoption strategies.
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Solid experience in project management with a strong focus on financial or business initiatives.
- Proven experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance within projects.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, capital planning, and cost management.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and financial systems (e.g., ERP, FP&A tools).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership. - Prefered Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
