Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment, with a focus on presses, bending machines, punch presses, and MADA equipment. This role ensures equipment reliability, optimal performance, and compliance with preventive maintenance plans. The engineer will lead a small team, perform installations, calibrations, corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and safety.
What a typical day looks like:
- Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates failure mechanisms.
- Repairs failure mechanisms in the most costeffective and efficient manner.
- Disassembles instruments and equipment to inspect components for defects.
- Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts, assemblies, and circuitry.
- Provides daily updates on equipment functioning and performance issues.
- Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
- Performs calibrations and requalifications on equipment (electrical, electronic, pneumatic).
- Sets up standard and specialpurpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments and test equipment.
- Maintains precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments.
- Assists technicians and process engineers with the installation, adjustment, and removal of process equipment.
- Leads equipment startup, testing, and commissioning (especially bending machines, punch presses, presses, and MADA systems).
- Ensures equipment is set to proper specifications and operational standards.
- Records times, maintenance activities, and problems in equipment logs.
- Researches, implements, and documents corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
- Supports audits and internal reviews related to equipment performance and maintenance.
- Assigns tasks, trains personnel, and verifies proper execution of maintenance procedures.
- Promotes safety, discipline, and adherence to technical standards.
- May require occasional travel to other company sites or vendor facilities for training, equipment support, or commissioning.
- Identifies opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.

- BA/BS in engineer or similar.
- Sr experience in as an operations manager, supervisor or similar.
- Advanced English (technical communication required).
- Strong knowledge of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in equipment installation, setup/commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with presses, bending machines, punch presses, and MADA equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Strong problemsolving, analytical, and decisionmaking abilities.
- Experience managing technical personnel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Available to travel ( 10% per year),
