Job Summary
The electronics engineer will be in charge of defining and implementing the MCi technology policy regarding the mechanics and/or electronics share by independently conducting market research to draw up specifications for future generations of precision mechanical actuators. Analysing market research results and communicating this analysis strategically with Senior Management.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Designing (sub)concepts for actuators suitable for mass production.
- Solving complex problems in existing products, possibly in collaboration with third parties.
- Conducting patent research and supporting applications for new patents.
- Represents MCi on product technical matters to suppliers, customers and OEMs at various levels.
- Monitors and evaluates market trends regarding application of existing and new technologies in current and future MCi end products.
- Building up relevant technical know-how and developing a technical specialty relevant to the company.
- Defines and coordinates developments and projects at suppliers.
- Develops and/or supervises the development of concepts, sub-products and products.
- Advises Senior Management and departments on strategy choices in the electronic and/or mechanical field.
- WO work and thinking level through education or experience.
- Knowledge and experience with the design of precision mechanical structures (M).
- Knowledge and experience with designing gears and drive systems (M).
- Knowledge and experience with calculation models and simulation tools is an advantage (M).
- Knowledge of and experience with electronics design and simulation tools (E).
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded software (E).
- Knowledge of and experience with EMC specifications and testing is an advantage (E).

- Able to function independently as well as in a team.
- Presentation skills for the various levels.
- Being able to report briefly and concisely.
- Customer oriented.
- MS Office.
- English and German spoken and written, French is an advantage.
