Job Description

The " Developer, Applications " will be based in Chennai.
In this role, you will be In-charge of ensuring continuity of IT systems by providing the planning, technical business, and project coordination necessary to implement, architects, designs, builds, tests, implement, develops software and resolve technical business solutions that automate specific business processes.

What a typical day looks like:

• Collaborate as part of a team responsible for SAP application maintenance, support, and the development of new functionalities within the internal SAP system.
• Prepare Functional Design, Technical Design, and Testing documentation.
• Work closely with the Technical Lead Consultant to ensure smooth project execution.
• Optimize SAP applications/modules, take proactive measures, and critically analyze issues and challenges.
• Participate in new site rollouts and data migration activities alongside the Lead Consultant.
• Operate within an SAP system landscape that includes ECC 6.0 and SNC 7.0.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Strong expertise in Core ABAP, including both Object-Oriented and Classical Programming.
• Experience with Web Dynpro ABAP.
• Knowledge of enhancement techniques such as Enhancement Points, BADI, and User Exits.
• Proficiency in developing SmartForms reports.
• Experience in SAP Integration technologies (IDOC, PI/Proxy, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for job failures and debugging both standard and custom logic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in creating both technical and functional documentation.
• Familiarity with release governance processes and incident management tools.
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Experience working in globally distributed teams.
• Willingness to contribute to non-SAP projects when required.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or equivalent qualification.
• SAP certification in SAP NetWeaver Development (Associate level) is an added advantage.
