Job Summary
In our Design Center in Timisoara our team creates technologies for the Automotive Market. Our power electronics portfolio includes Onboard Chargers, 48V and High-voltage DC/DC Converters.
To support our design team, we are currently looking for a Component Mechanical Engineer located in Timisoara Vox Technology Park.

- You will be responsible for taking in consideration legal requirements ( for example KBA, ECE, SAE, etc) in product development.
- Responsible with design review and to ensure feasibility.
- Responsible in documentation creation (drawings, BOMs) for the products developed.
- Apply control systems, reports that measures progress, identifies possible technical problems and implements corrective measures in due time, to ensure that the commitments are respected related to prevention rather the correction.
- Provide technical support for customers, project management, business development, quote team and worldwide design centers.
- Facilitate and identifies redesign opportunities or components exchange to reduce costs, to ensure quality and reliability, manages resources to identify the best opportunities to work with Flex suppliers.
- Provides technical back up for purchasing team in evaluation of alternatives, like identification of differences in requirements and needed design changes, acts like an interface with supplier design team.
- Apply written specifications, performance criteria, and requirements for quality control
- Work together with components suppliers, with other development and production engineers
- Provide technical support for different Flex technical centers and different market segments, based on necessities in solving production issues with moderate importance, regarding component performance, process requirements or existing issue internal/external ( customer).
- Come with own ideas in product development, using politics and procedures specifics to automotive, can propose information regarding the definition of methods, standards, politics and procedures.
- University Degree in mechanical field or equivalent.
- At least 5 years in mechanical design field or product development.
- Knowledge of CAD system, Catia V5, Siemens NX
- Demonstrates advanced skills in mechanical engineering, but also in client handling ( both external and internal).
- Experience in mechanical engineering in automotive field and knowledge about relevant automotive process ( VDA, V model), technologies, processes.
- Capacity to identify technical problems, tale measures and draw valid conclusions. Has capacity to translate technical requirements in mathematical or diagram form and treat abstract and concrete variables.
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Team player and problem solver.
