Job Summary

We are seeking an Application Support Analyst dedicated to supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting our enterprise Business Intelligence ecosystem, with a primary focus on Tableau and MicroStrategy. In this role, you will serve as the Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support specialist responsible for incident resolution, platform stability, dashboard performance tuning, and service request fulfillment. Leveraging ServiceNow (SNC) for end-to-end incident and problem management, you will diagnose complex report malfunctions, resolve data refresh failures, maintain automated schedules, and ensure high operational uptime for business-critical analytics.

What a typical day looks like:

• Incident & Ticket Lifecycle Management: Own and drive L2/L3 production incidents, service requests, and problem tickets from triage to resolution via ServiceNow (SNC), strictly adhering to organizational SLAs and OLAs.
• BI Application Support: Provide day-to-day operational support for Tableau Server/Cloud and MicroStrategy Intelligence Server/Workstation, diagnosing dashboard errors, visual bugs, and semantic layer mismatches.
• Performance Optimization & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform in-depth root cause analysis on recurring incidents, debug slow-running Tableau workbooks, optimize MicroStrategy Intelligent Cubes, and tune underlying SQL queries.
• Batch Scheduling & Extract Monitoring: Monitor and recover failed automated report distributions, Tableau extract refreshes, and batch dependencies orchestrated via Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).
• Data Flow Troubleshooting: Investigate data discrepancies and latency issues by tracing queries back to upstream data sources (Snowflake, Informatica ETL, Kafka streams).
• Security & Access Provisioning: Fulfill ServiceNow access requests by configuring user roles, project/folder permissions, and Row-Level Security (RLS) across Tableau and MicroStrategy environments.
• Change & Knowledge Management: Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and incident post-mortems in ServiceNow and Confluence; assist with production change validation during deployment windows.

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on application support, IT operations, or production maintenance experience supporting enterprise BI applications.
• Tableau: Proven ability to troubleshoot Tableau extract refresh failures, permission conflicts, dashboard load timeouts, and site/project administration & New Dashboard Creations with UDF's.
• MicroStrategy Support: Strong expertise diagnosing Intelligent Cube failures, Enterprise Manager logs, Object Manager migrations, and user privilege configurations & New Reports / Cubes Building.
• SQL & Data Debugging: Solid SQL skills to run ad-hoc validation queries, verify data integrity, and inspect joins/aggregations against Snowflake or relational data stores.

• Good-to-Have Skills: Exposure to Unix/Linux commands, basic Python scripting for support automation, and log analysis using the ELK Stack.

• ITSM & Ticketing: ServiceNow (SNC).
• BI Platforms: Tableau (Server/Desktop), MicroStrategy (Intelligence Server/Developer/Workstation)
