Senior Creative Manager
Overview
Are you a design leader with a strong point of view on quality, craft, and modern creative execution? Do you enjoy developing designers, raising standards, and shaping how a brand shows up visually across channels?
We're looking for a Design Team Leader to help lead Fisher Investments' in-house creative agency and enhance the quality and effectiveness of our design output.
The Opportunity:
As the Design Team Leader at Fisher Investments, reporting to the VP of Design and Innovation, you will be accountable for the health, growth, and creative excellence of our U.S.-based design team. You will provide daily leadership, coaching, and direction while helping evolve design standards, workflows, and tools-including the thoughtful adoption of AI-enabled creative approaches.
You will partner closely with content, multimedia, creative operations, and marketing stakeholders to ensure design work is strategically sound, visually strong, and delivered efficiently at scale.
The Day-to-Day:
- Lead and develop a team of designers, providing clear creative direction, regular feedback, and coaching to raise craft, confidence, and consistency across the group.
- Own the overall quality bar for design output - ensuring work meets standards for visual clarity, brand expression, and effectiveness across channels.
- Guide designers in applying modern tools, systems, and workflows, including AI-assisted design approaches that improve speed without compromising quality.
- Partner with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business goals and campaign ideas into strong visual systems and experiences.
- Review and provide thoughtful, actionable creative feedback - helping designers understand not just what to change, but why.
- Help evolve scalable design systems, templates, and frameworks that promote consistency and efficiency across markets and campaigns.
- Collaborate with multimedia, content, and creative operations to ensure design work integrates smoothly into broader creative workflows.
- Step in as a hands-on contributor when needed to model quality, unblock work, or support high-impact initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to improve creative processes, tools, and team workflows as the organization and creative demands evolve.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and leadership on priorities, resourcing, and creative progress.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience leading or managing design teams, including coaching, performance development, and daily oversight.
- Deep professional design experience across digital advertising and performance marketing.
- Ability to translate business objectives and opportunities into strategic design solutions.
- Strong visual design fundamentals, with the ability to evaluate and articulate quality across layout, typography, composition, and interaction.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted design tools or workflows to improve creative efficiency, exploration, and scalability.
- Ability to think systemically - designing frameworks and standards, not just individual assets.
- Comfortable partnering with writers, multimedia designers, marketers, and leadership to shape creative direction.
- Clear, confident communicator who can give and receive feedback productively at all levels.
- Organized, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong expertise with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, project management systems, and generative AI tools.
Compensation:
- $105,000 - $140,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience.
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
