Job Description:

Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL developer

Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) is looking for a Senior Database Developer who has strong understanding of database technologies and experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems. We are looking for individuals who continually strive to advance engineering excellence and technology innovation.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including performance tuning, data modeling, and API development.
  • Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica) and batch job schedulers (e.g., Autosys).
  • Proven ability to design scalable, resilient systems using cloud technologies (AWS, Snowflake, S3 preferred).
  • Experience with ATDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Java, messaging systems, and web containers.
  • Experience with distributed replication technologies (e.g., Oracle GoldenGate, EDB Replication).
  • Exposure to other database platforms (Postgres, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong Linux shell scripting and performance monitoring skills.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Exadata, and engineered systems is highly desirable.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI) are a bonus.

The Purpose of Your Role

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust, high-performance database solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Drive engineering best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and performance tuning efforts.
  • Support production systems, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

The base salary range for this position is $97,000-185,000 USD per year.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
