Job Title: Senior Associate, Financial Solutions
The Role
As a senior certification associate with Financial Solutions, you help certify and maintain the profiling (asset allocation & suitability) methodology that supports Fidelity's discretionary and non-discretionary advice offerings.
Your work supports Fidelity client's in determining which investment products and asset allocation are most suitable, given their own personal characteristics and preferences; and you play a key role in the testing of new methodology and periodic profiling scoring impact analysis.
The Expertise and Skill You Bring
This role will work with a range of teams at Fidelity including Fidelity Technology, Platform, Analytics, Product Management, Legal, and Compliance teams, among others. Your responsibilities will include:
- Certification that the Financial Solutions methodology/model has been implemented as designed
- Identifying and accessing data for financial planning methodology research and development
- Attention to detail and ensuring quality of implementation by designing and executing rigorous processes.
- Supporting the design and implementation of prototypes
- Working knowledge of generative AI and Vibe coding is a plus
- Is excited to help Fidelity customers with financial planning.
- Has a solid understanding of and passion for the software development lifecycle and quality assurance principles.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, initiative, and love for learning new skills and capabilities.
- Possesses strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced team-based environment.
- Has experience with or is willing to learn skills over time related to quantitative model construction; data analytics; and programming languages such as R, Python and Visual Basic for Excel.
- Can manage and prioritize their work towards a deadline independently and working with a team.
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to write simple to complex SQL queries.
- Has an understanding of technology and user experience implications when implementing methodology
- Holds a bachelor's degree or Graduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative and logic-oriented degree.
- Has an interest in pursuing the CFP designation to increase their financial planning domain knowledge
- Has 1-3 years of relevant financial services experience
- Has excellent communication skills.

The Team
The Financial Solutions team, part of Strategic Advisors, develops the financial planning methodologies that underpin the financial advice and guidance Fidelity offers its wealth, brokerage, and workplace clients through interactions with representatives and digital tools. The team also conducts research, drives innovation in financial planning and provides thought leadership on a range of financial planning topics, as well as aids in investment product development.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-171,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
