Associate Investment Data Analyst

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player who can multi-task and has excellent analytic skills. Our work is highly collaborative and involves close coordination and excellent communication with our clients, market data vendors and key business and technology partners across Fidelity.

The Associate Investment Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily data management operations relating to third-party market reference data providers and ensure accurate, complete and timely delivery of data to downstream consumers. This includes managing daily data quality routines, performing detailed data analysis through querying to analyze and validate data, and troubleshoot production related issues and engage with our Technology and Business partners to resolve when needed. This role will also participate in operations projects/initiatives involving multiple business partners and will help to provide subject matter expertise. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are critical to the success of this function.

The Experience and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Data Analytics or related field
• 1-2 years' experience working in an Operations, Business Analysis, Data Analysis or Systems analysis role
• Financial Services Industry experience working with reference data preferred
• Experience working with analysis/reporting tools such as SQL, R, and OBIEE preferred
• Able to interact with vendors, clients, and end users of the data
• Exhibited skills in problem identification and resolution
• Strong analysis skills resulting in the ability to accurately respond to customer inquiries accurately
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational and project management skills to navigate through high volume setting with tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, management, and other business partners
• Data analytics, data mining, reporting, operations research, and data manipulation experience preferred
