Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will design and develop moderately complex solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications under limited supervision.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Senior Linux Server Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components.
- Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms.
- Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions.
Minimum Required Experiences:
- 2 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Linux Server environments, both in AWS and on-premises.
- Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.
Desired Experiences:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 3+ years hands-on experience working with large-scale Linux environments in on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
- Experience supporting mission-critical platforms in a 24x7 on-call production support model.
- Linux and/or AWS Certifications preferred.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and hardening secure Linux gold images/templates in accordance with enterprise security and compliance standards (CIS, STIG, NIST).
- Strong experience with vulnerability management, including vulnerability remediation, patch management, security compliance, and coordination with cybersecurity teams.
- Hands-on experience with Puppet for configuration management, infrastructure automation, system provisioning, and configuration drift remediation.
- Deep Linux engineering expertise across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), and Amazon Linux, including performance tuning, kernel-level troubleshooting, system hardening, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks to streamline Linux infrastructure deployment and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Linux security controls including SELinux, access management, auditing, certificate management, and compliance enforcement.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Linux platforms in highly available, regulated, and mission-critical environments.
Skills
- Proficient in system administration for Linux Server, with in-depth knowledge of SUSE, RedHat, and AWS Linux operating systems.
Skilled in VMware vSphere and VCF. - Proficient in managing Linux VMs.
- Skilled in managing CISCO UCS and DELL VxRAIL platforms.
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), PowerShell, Unix Scripting, Python, and automation technologies.
- Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment, with strong customer service skills, teamwork abilities, and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
