Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will advise the team on processes and methods for building, developing, or designing functionality for a product, as well as create processes and procedures for the ongoing implementation, enhancement, or maintenance of existing products.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The MF COO - Product Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Product Owner responsible for advanced analysis, product definition, requirements documentation, and delivery execution.
  • Lead discovery sessions with business, operations, technology, risk, and data stakeholders to identify user needs, pain points, business rules, system impacts, and product opportunities.
  • Define, refine, and maintain the PI plan in alignment with business objectives, customer outcomes, compliance expectations, and technology strategy.
  • Write detailed features, user stories, acceptance criteria, development specifications, data requirements, process requirements, and implementation notes for engineering and testing teams.
  • Lead and document Lean Business Case (LBC) in Fannie Mae format, including business context, detailed requirements, data needs, system behavior, controls, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and traceability.
  • Create and document current-state and future-state process flows, decision flows, system interaction flows, data movement flows, and system state transition diagrams.
  • Monitor product performance, gather stakeholder feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous product enhancement.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Required Experience:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience Product Owner / Product Manager experience in Agile delivery environments, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, story writing, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
  • At least 6 years of relevant business and data analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex business, system, data, and operational concepts clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Advanced business analysis skills, including elicitation, requirements decomposition, stakeholder interviews, workshop facilitation, traceability, gap analysis, and impact assessment.
  • Proven experience converting business needs into clear, detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, features, epics, and development specifications.
  • Experience documenting business processes, operational procedures, process flows, system flows, data flows, and system state / lifecycle diagrams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business SMEs, technology leads, architects, developers, testers, data analysts, operations, risk, compliance, and change management partners.
  • Strong experience using Jira and Confluence or equivalent Agile/product documentation tools
  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.

Desired Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant business and data analysis experience.
  • 7+ years of Product Owner / Product Manager experience in Agile delivery environments, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, story writing, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience in mortgage finance, housing finance, financial services, multifamily, or single-family business domains.
  • Experience supporting change management, training materials, adoption planning, communications, and operational readiness.
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae Multifamily Data
