Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will act as an advisor across multiple squads/teams developing architecture and mentoring the team on implementing software, technology, or processes, as well as lead processes for creating and maintaining IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.
- Independently determine the needs of the customer while identifying and resolving conflicting or complementary needs across customer groups.
- Applying advanced skill, knowledge and experience, design and develop software solutions to meet customer needs.
- Use a process-driven approach to leading design solutions.
- Implement new software technology and coordinate simultaneous implementation tasks across teams.
- May maintain or oversee the maintenance of existing software.

- Applying advanced skills, knowledge and experience, design and develop software solutions to meet customer needs in support of the Fannie Mae's servicing platform.

- Help organization strengthening readiness and operability while staying ahead of risk.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences:
- 6 years of extensive hands-on experience in Java development, including designing, implementing, and maintaining Java enterprise applications.
- Strong skills in system design and architecture, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Angular.
- Experience building effective relationships with technical and business stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience with Application Performance Management and Observability
- Experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
- AWS Cloud Technologies:
- Strong skills in system design and architecture, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions
- At least 4 years in software engineering using AWS cloud infrastructure writing applications with AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, using SDKs and using containers
- AI/ML Technologies:
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI engineering.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) and prompt engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Deep experience with AWS services, especially Bedrock, S3, EC2, and Lambda
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven experience in managing architecture and design that impacts multiple development teams, including task assignment.
- Experience building effective relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers
