Description

Mid-level engineer full-stack contributor: well-scoped Java/Spring work and guided Angular or React tasks, plus tests and fixes, with Senior Staff and the Engineering Manager. The role supports global Mappers and DataHub with KL DataHub, including global stakeholders, including North America. It supports more data sources and self-service (Brazil as lead region, global capability). The engineer builds testing and deployment literacy (unit, integration, acceptance automation; CI/CD; Jenkins; promotions) alongside OpenAPI, SonarQube, and Veracode or Checkmarx, uses GenAI responsibly under review, and participates in co-development with Brazil (Credit Decisioning) when assigned.

  • Complete scoped features, fixes, and tests with increasing independence over time, and raise risks as soon as scope or quality is unclear.
  • Close learning gaps in Java, cloud, OpenAPI, and team tooling through questions, documentation, and guided practice.
  • Follow review feedback, write readable code, expand tests as directed, and remediate Sonar and security findings with support when needed.
  • Collaborate across functions, communicate blockers early, and respect inner-source and review etiquette.
  • Participate in monitoring and incident drills as assigned, escalate appropriately, and learn operational basics for owned services.
  • Use GenAI tools only with senior review and company policy: accelerate learning without bypassing understanding or mishandling sensitive data.
  • Progress on guided full-stack tasks (Angular or React with mentorship) and on fixing simple test or pipeline failures with support.


Qualifications

  • + Advanced English and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when need it.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Must-have: Java fundamentals; Spring Boot growth on the job; full-stack path - ship small reviewed changes in Angular or React with pairing; algorithms and data structures; testing (unit; integration and acceptance automation with mentoring); deployment learning (Jenkins pipeline stages, environment promotions, common pipeline failures); OpenAPI with review; SonarQube and Veracode or Checkmarx workflows with support; AWS, containers, EKS under mentorship; CI/CD and release hygiene; AI-native mindset with senior review and policy compliance.
    AI-assisted toolchain (junior): Cursor (or equivalent) and approved assistants (e.g. Claude) under mentorship; exposure to MCP and agentic patterns with verification before merge.
  • Nice-to-have: Python or Go if the stack requires; AWS coursework or certification.
