Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our Experian IT Services function. Within the team, you will be responsible for the support of z/OS operating system and related infrastructure; Vendor supplied software and hardware configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
- z/OS system software installation, maintenance, configuration and support
- ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support.
- Mainframe hardware configuration
Skills and Technology Requirements
SME level understanding and experience on the following components:
• z/OS installation, maintenance, configuration and support
• ISV software installation, maintenance, configuration and support - especially BMC products
• HCD and experience of z16, virtual tape and disk infrastructure
• SMPE
• Parallel sysplex
Understanding and exposure to the following :
• CICS / DB2 / VSAM
• Storage management CICS / DB2 / VSAM
• BMC software stack especially Control-M and AMI OPS products
• Security RACF
• Assembler and user exit coding
• Performance and capacity management
• Unix Systems Services
Experience
- 10+ years experience of z/OS systems programming
- Excellent problem solving skills combined with a passion for continuous improvement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
