Description

  • Architect and influence at scale: Define and evolve enterprise-level architecture standards for cloud-native platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term technology strategy.
  • Lead technical vision: Drive adoption of advanced technologies such as GraphQL, Kafka, and reactive frameworks to build resilient, high-performance systems.
  • Mentor and elevate engineering talent: Provide guidance to senior engineers and staff-level peers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, product managers, and UX teams to shape product roadmaps and technical investments.
  • Champion best practices: Establish and enforce standards for code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability across engineering teams.
  • Innovation and research: Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for potential adoption, driving innovation initiatives that enhance product capabilities.
  • Executive-level representation: Act as a trusted advisor in cross-functional planning and executive discussions, influencing technology direction for the organization.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, with significant experience in technical leadership roles and architecting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Technical expertise: Deep proficiency in Java, AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB), GraphQL, Kafka, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Strategic impact: Proven ability to influence organizational technology strategy and deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Leadership skills: Exceptional ability to mentor senior engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and algorithmic thinking, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.


Additional Information

  • Experience driving cloud transformation initiatives at scale.
  • Contributions to industry standards or open-source projects.
  • Expertise in cost optimization and performance tuning for global systems.
  • Background in financial services or regulated industries, with knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA).
  • Mass-market consumer product experience.
