Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who is a keen technologist with strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to work on the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions. This role involves a high percentage of research and development activities, exploring and evaluating tools and technologies.

The role requires good communication skills and the ability to span architecture and engineering. It will involve working closely with engineering teams, product owners, and stakeholders to define technical strategies, guide solution delivery, and ensure architectural integrity across data-driven platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prove out the approach for complex cloud architectures on AWS, with a focus on data ingestion and transformation.
• Be involved in significant POC and POV activities, where the code may not reach production.

• Comfortable with the full developer lifecycle and able to write requirements, document patterns, produce code, write tests and deploy to cloud.
  Collaborate with development teams and suppliers to ensure alignment with architectural principles and POC objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to continuously improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines using services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Kinesis, and EMR/EMR Serverless.
• Ensure solutions adhere to Experian security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Support DevOps and automation initiatives including CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and monitoring.
• Act as a technical communicator and advisor to engineers and project stakeholders.

• Minimum 8+yrs of experience
• Autonomous individual who can carry out tasks independently, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving architectural challenges.
• Proven track record in an engineering discipline, ideally implementing data processing pipelines and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in AWS CLI, Python, SQL, or scripting for data engineering and automation.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native design principles, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
