Description

The Security Metrics & Reporting Intern will support the Experian Global Security Office Metrics & Reporting team by developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting solutions using Power BI and SQL Server. This role is ideal for a student looking for hands-on experience in data analysis, security metrics, and business intelligence tools within a organizational environment.

Tasks:

  • You will help develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize security metrics and trends for multiple partners.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze security-related data from multiple sources, using SQL Server, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • You will help automate recurring security reports and help improve reporting processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with security analysts and IT staff to identify new metrics, track (KPIs), and provide relevant insights.
  • You will document reporting procedures and maintain comprehensive records to support audit and compliance requirements.


Qualifications

  • 2-3 years completed study in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Cybersecurity course study is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI to create visualizations and SQL server to create database queries.
  • Knowledge in cybersecurity is beneficial.
  • English proficiency of at least B2.
  • Be available 36 hours of the week for the internship.
  • You must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.
  • Be available to start in May 2026.
  • You will receive a subsidy of $1,000 a month for the 9-month internship.


Additional Information

This is a home-based internship role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
