Description

Why this role? Kickstart your cybersecurity career with hands-on experience in real-world network security projects. You'll learn from industry experts and work on cyber systems.

What you'll do:

• Help secure networks by configuring web application firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
• You will help monitor threats and respond to security alerts.
• Support incident investigations and learn how to prevent future attacks.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to apply best practices.
• Document what you learn and share insights with the team.

What you'll learn:

• How enterprise networks are protected against cyber threats.
• Manage tools like , intrusion prevention systems and web application security platforms.
• Basics of compliance and security standards.

Qualifications

Who Should Apply?

• Students passionate about cybersecurity and interested in getting hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with Networking basics is helpful, but we'll teach you the rest.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) would be beneficial.
• Understanding of Python is beneficial.
• English proficiency of at least B2.
• Be available 36 hours of the week for the internship.
• You must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.
• Be available to start in May 2026.
• You will receive a subsidy of $1,000 a month for the 9-month internship.

Additional Information

This is a home-based internship role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
