Description

Experian is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person who is interested in providing excellent support for our network engineering team that handles implementation of new networks and assist to upgrade existing networks. This includes our internal corporate network, our production datacenter network, and our customer-facing client networks.

As the Manager of Network Engineering, you will provide creative leadership for the Network Engineering staff to allow them to provide converged, world class, high performing, network services to the entire company.

You will report to the Director of Network Services NA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a dynamic IT organization with variable priorities
  • Manage the Global teams that run the operations and engineering of network and security
  • infrastructure, including Public Cloud, Firewalls, Switches, Routers and VPN, including cloud and premise-based Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Gateways, and Firewalls.
  • Manage the engineering design solutions for new Experian customers or applications requiring network access and support
  • Coordinate the implementation of new systems with other systems groups
  • Evaluate new network technologies for possible uses and implementation
  • Develop and implement device configuration standards, and policies and procedures that provide world class support to our business and clients
  • Collaborate with the other leaders in Global Network Services for Capacity planning and management, Disaster Recovery, Contingencies and Business Continuity
  • Hire, train, and manage the network staff and ensures the staff is empowered and works creatively
  • Responsible for staff salary planning, personnel actions, and performance management process.
  • You will create an environment of growth in professional skills for all staff members
  • Create management reports and metrics that show team performance against SLA's, OLA's.
  • In collaboration with the Global Network leadership teams, create a roadmap for Global Network team to help meet customer needs today and in the future
  • Take a senior leadership role in high-level cross-functional / cross-organizational team projects
  • Deliver converged, reliable, scalable, high quality services to the business including Network Infrastructure, local area network, wide area network, internet, and telecommunications
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with the procurement and legal teams
  • Handle competing/changing priorities

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of working experience in a customer-driven support role for an organization similar to our size
  • 6+ years of experience managing a network operations/engineering team for a large enterprise
  • Experience managing an environment that includes Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Oracle, Azure), Private Cloud, Colocation facilities and Datacenter facilities
  • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus Data Center switching hardware and software
  • Experience with stateful firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint) and packet inspection techniques
  • Experience with VPN/tunneling technologies such as DMVPN, VTI, IPsec and SSL client VPN's
  • Experience/knowledge of virtual networking technologies such as ASA virtual contexts, VRF's, VDC's, and virtual networking devices such as Cisco CSR 1000v, ASA 1000v, and VSG
  • Proficient in virtualization platforms such as VMWare ESXi and Linux QEMExperience managing workloads using Agile frameworks
  • Knowledge of the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and management of networking, telecommunication and computer/server equipment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, high pressure situations
  • Experience facilitating productive meetings and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience creating and establishing processes, documentation, and automations required to hand-off between network engineering and operations teams
  • Passion and desire to lead and motivate a team of engineers to achieve personal and professional goals with a focus on growth through development plans and goals
