What you'll do:
Lead the squad & deliveries
- Line-manage a development squad: set clear goals, coach day to day, and foster ownership and accountability within the team.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement/replenishment, planning, retrospectives), keeping them focused on outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Act as primary contact between the squad and Product Owners, BA and Solution Architects; ensure shared understanding of scope, priorities and Definition of Ready/Done.
- Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog and capacity, balancing features, support work, technical debt and technical improvements.
- Enable the team to deliver functional, working software applications by removing impediments, aligning on best practices and ensuring quality standards, tests and documentation are followed by the team.
Manage performance, people and team health
- Own line-management responsibilities: regular 1:1s, performance reviews, feedback, recognition and support for underperformance where needed.
- Build and maintain development plans with each team member, identifying skills gaps and growth opportunities (training, mentoring, stretch work).
- Apply agile servant leadership: shield the team from unnecessary interruptions, secure the right tools and information, and facilitate constructive conflict resolution.
- Support hiring, onboarding and retention of talent, contributing to a positive, inclusive and psychologically safe team culture.
Drive flow, metrics and technical alignment
- Monitor and interpret key delivery metrics (lead time, cycle time, throughput, WIP, velocity) to understand performance and guide improvements.
- Provide clear, regular progress and risk updates to stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle, coordinating mitigation actions.
- Coordinate the squad's response to complex client incidents, ensuring the right engineers handle investigation and root-cause analysis, and that follow-up actions are implemented.
- Participate in high-level design and technical discussions to ensure the squad's solutions follow agreed architecture, standards and technical strategy, while allowing the team to decide how to implement features and fixes.

What you'll bring:
- University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or related field, or equivalent experience.
