Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to work closely with a dedicated software development team while also partnering with the DevOps Infrastructure group to ensure best practices, scalability, and reliability across our cloud environments.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, autonomous, and comfortable embedding with engineering teams to bridge the gap between software development and cloud infrastructure.
🛠️ Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as the embedded DevOps partner for a software development team, supporting day-to-day infrastructure needs.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS following best practices.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules that support software teams.
- Provision and manage cloud resources such as EC2, databases, IAM roles, and related services.
- Help eliminate infrastructure bottlenecks by enabling teams with dedicated, well-structured cloud resources.
- Collaborate with the central DevOps / Infrastructure team to ensure alignment with standards, security, and operational best practices.
- Support continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability, scalability, and automation.
Qualifications
🎯 What We Expect From You
- Solid experience working with AWS cloud services and architecture best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, including writing and maintaining Terraform modules.
- Ability to work independently while being strongly collaborative with software engineers.
- Experience supporting software development teams that are not infrastructure specialists.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, process-oriented mindset.
- Advanced English (you will work with global stakeholders).
- Availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when needed.
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience or exposure to big data tools or platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices.
- Prior experience working in embedded DevOps or platform-enablement roles.
- Background in highly structured, process-driven engineering environments.
