Description

As a DevOps/Automation Intern, you will support the Global Cloud Engineering Self-Service Platform Automation team in developing infrastructure automation both on-premise and across public clouds. This internship provides hands-on experience with modern automation tools and practices, contributing to our Infrastructure as Code strategy.

Responsibilities

  • You will help develop and test self-service hybrid cloud infrastructure delivery platforms using modern cloud practices.
  • Help provide daily support for Global Ansible Tower and Private Cloud Self-Service services.
  • You will help identify manual processes that can be automated and help develop automation tools.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and fixing failures in automated tasks or processes.
  • Help maintain existing automation scripts and documentation while following coding standards.
  • You will support daily administration tasks and service restoration using technical tools (e.g., log interpretation, performance monitoring).
  • You will collaborate with team members in an Agile environment and participate in cross-training activities.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Pursue a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, YAML, or Python.
  • Interest in automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
  • English proficiency of at least B2.
  • Be available 36 hours of the week for the internship.
  • You must be enrolled in the university for the next 9 months of the internship.
  • Be available to start in May 2026.
  • You will not get a salary but a subsidy of $1,000 a month for the 9-month internship.


Additional Information

This is a home-based internship in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
