Job description
Experian is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our Marketplace Decision Optimization team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large, revenue-driving team that operates on an entirely cloud-based analytical platform. In this role, you will work closely with other data scientists and analysts to support data-driven decision-making processes. You will be responsible for data collection, cleaning, and analysis, as well as developing and implementing machine learning models. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong analytical background and a passion for data science to grow and develop their skills in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with both internal and external data science teams to integrate and build models that the business needs.
- Extract, formulate and manipulate data using Python and SQL within Snowpark container services.
- Learn and understand the structure of our Snowflake database and its relationship to our product environment.
- Communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for individual projects.
- Innovate and contribute new ideas to improve business processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited college or university. Advanced Degree as an ideal.
- 2+ years of experience in statistical analysis and modeling especially with consumer credit underwriting, customer segmentation, and customer valuations.
- Strong quantitative, qualitative, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
