We’re looking for a Junior Buyer to support our indirect procurement function across IT (SaaS), Marketing, Security, and more. In this role, you won’t just process purchase orders — you’ll help manage vendor spend, improve procurement workflows, and ensure we’re operating efficiently as we scale. You’ll partner closely across teams to make sure they have what they need, while helping the business stay disciplined and thoughtful about how we spend.

You’ll report to our Senior Director of Procurement and play a key role in keeping our day-to-day procurement engine running smoothly.

What you can do for Expel

  • Execute purchase orders for indirect purchases, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Own the SaaS lifecycle from sourcing and approvals through renewals and license deprovisioning
  • Manage renewal tracking to prevent auto-renewals and identify opportunities to right-size spend
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure purchases align with security standards and budgets
  • Act as a resource for internal teams to help evaluate and source tools that meet their needs
  • Maintain procurement systems and support enforcement of company spending policies
  • Analyze spend and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Support contract negotiations and vendor conversations to secure favorable terms
  • Resolve issues related to invoices, deliveries, or vendor discrepancies

What you should bring with you

  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, operations, finance, or SaaS-related roles
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with contracts, data, and systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and following up to drive work forward
  • Basic understanding of contracts, renewals, or vendor management (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests at once
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to procurement or contract tools like Airbase, Ironclad, DocuSign, or similar
  • Experience supporting SaaS tools, licenses, or indirect spend categories
