About the Client

A Swedish technology company that is building a modern delivery management platform for e-commerce. The platform helps businesses optimize delivery experiences, improve logistics efficiency, and connect seamlessly with multiple carriers and services.

About the Role

You will join a core part of the platform responsible for building and maintaining integrations that power our clients’ delivery ecosystem. The team is looking for a highly skilled engineer with strong analytical thinking, system design knowledge, and the ability to work closely with different stakeholders across the business.

What You’ll Do 

• Code, test, and operate Java-based services
• Effectively use tools and ingenuity to identify and fix bugs before they become a problem
• Take over maintenance and extend existing services
• Optimize use cases and error handling/test completeness
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle
• Continuously expand knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment
• Provide recommendations for ongoing improvement
• Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
• Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new products
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members

What You Bring 

• 5-8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Java (Go preferred, but not required)
• Willingness to learn and work with Go (if not already experienced)
• Proven success leading major technical initiatives as a senior engineer/tech lead/architect
• Strong architectural reasoning and system design expertise
• Demonstrated ability to uplift technical excellence and high-performance engineering culture through example
• Ability to operate with high autonomy on complex, 3-month+ initiatives
• Experience breaking down complex projects and effectively working with & through others
• Strong technical judgment for making architectural trade-offs and navigating ambiguity
• Ability to represent technical proposals clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
• Proven capability to proactively remove delivery blockers across teams
• Track record of partnering with engineering & product managers on team operations and planning
