In this role, you will be responsible for mastering, maintaining and eventually owning our Enterprise data models, various business-critical data pipelines and related processes. Additionally, you’ll be constantly leveraging said data to produce actionable insights for our broad set of stakeholders across the business, acting as the bridge between our data and business-critical outcomes. As you ramp up, your expertise will be leveraged to help further optimize our automated bidding and routing systems.

This is a hybrid role that requires being in office several days a week.

The base salary range for this full-time hybrid position is $83,500-137,500 Starting salaries will generally be in the lower part of the salary range provided. Employees, depending on their specific role, level and responsibilities, may be eligible to participate in company variable compensation or equity programs.

 What you’ll do:

  • Own Core Data Models: Take over the maintenance and continued development of our core Enterprise data models to ensure they accurately reflect our evolving business logic and serve our key stakeholders.
  • Manage Data Pipelines: Lead the end-to-end process for ingesting, matching, and troubleshooting customer disposition data, ensuring our "truth" datasets are accurate for downstream analysis & modeling.
  • Measure & Optimize Traffic Quality: Monitor and manage traffic quality through predictive models, performing retraining analyses and managing holdouts to ensure marketplace efficiency.
  • Translate Data into Insights: Act as a technical partner for stakeholders across the business, structuring complex problems and producing clear, storylined outputs (i.e. dashboards, analysis, alerting etc.) that drive decision-making.
  • Drive Operational Automation: Proactively identify manual, repetitive workflows and develop automated solutions to increase team efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
  • Support Bidding & Routing Systems: Contribute to the success of complex bidding and routing programs by providing deep-dive analysis on auction performance and predictive model improvements.
  • Maintain High Technical Standards: Utilize modern tools like dbt, Docker, and GitHub to write maintainable code and participate in rigorous peer reviews to ensure data quality.

Who you are:

  • SQL Power User: You have a solid foundation in SQL (Snowflake experience is a plus) and take pride in writing clean, easy-to-digest, and well-commented code.
    • Familiarity with Tableau, Python & Git also plusses
  • Analytical Problem Solver: You are able to effectively break down complex problems, structure your approach and produce clear and actionable analysis for a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Systems Thinker: You are interested in how data flows through a business - understanding not just the "what," but the inputs and outputs of internal processes and predictive models and how they impact business outcomes.
  • Effective Communicator: You are skilled at storylining your findings to make them easily digestible, and can effectively translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Modern Data Stack Fluent: You are eager to become an expert working with dbt, GitHub, and Docker within a collaborative production environment.
  • Proactive & Tenacious: You don't wait for a ticket to fix a broken process; you are proactive in flagging inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
  • Methodical & Detail-Oriented: You have high standards for quality control and are comfortable documenting your work thoroughly for the benefit of the wider team.
