Software Development Engineer

Overview

From building intuitive AI web interfaces to writing Python for geoprocessing tools and AI agents, you'll be exposed to the full development lifecycle and cutting-edge GIS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build C++ software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
• Develop excellent software for use in field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and more
• Collaborate with other programmers and developers throughout the development process
• Define user requirements; design and develop applications and APIs for device
• Ensure that ArcGIS software meets real-world usage scenarios
• Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mapping, GIS, or a related field
• One (1) year of experience in the job offered, or one (1) year of experience in a related occupation
• Demonstrated experience in ArcGIS, Agile, Scrum, Jenkins, C++, GitHub, SQL, Qt, Object Oriented Programming (OOP), and API Design

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$110,240 - $145,000 USD
