Product Engineer II - AI-assisted Urban Planning and Traffic Simulation

Overview
Passionate about 3D, AI, and Simulations that will impact the work of hundreds of thousands of users? Join our AI Prototypes Team to work on AI-assisted Urban Planning and help build tools for urban environments generation, which will promote high standards of living and unique positive experience for residents and guests. This is a great opportunity to join a research-oriented group that works with SOTA architectures and ideas, publishes its research results and contributes to development of next-gen Esri software.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of a Python layer handling integration of generative AI and Traffic Simulation into ArcGIS CityEngine.
- Contribute to the design and development of Python Geoprocessing tools and services.
- Development of Python and Screenshot automated tests.
- Alignment and conversion of various road graph schemas: CityEngine StreetDesigner, OSM, ArcGIS Network Analyst, Esri Roads&Highways.
- CGA and Visual CGA rules authoring and QA/QC.
- Qualitative and Quantitative evaluation of the results of Massing generations, 15-minute-city optimizations and Traffic Simulations.
- Collaborate with other developers and engineers within and across teams throughout the R&D process.
- Solve and articulate complex problems with design, development, and user experiences.
- Additional R&D duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience with:
- ArcGIS Pro and Python Geoprocessing tools
- CityEngine, CGA, Visual CGA
- ArcGIS Server REST API and Geoprocessing services
- Python and Conda on Linux & Windows
- Test automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer or data science, mathematics, urban design, urban planning or related fields
- Existing work authorization for Switzerland
Recommended Qualifications
- 3D vector data formats, multiband and elevation rasters
- Graph algorithms, traffic simulation
- Urban planning, urban design, AEC experience
- Scalable processing of large volumes of GIS data
