ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance Supervisor in Cape Coral, Florida.

What you'll do:

JOB SUMMARY:

In the Maintenance - Level II position, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the property.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs various property maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log
  • Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on common areas to Property Manager/Maintenance Supervisor
  • Performs on-call emergency service as required
  • Assists Property Manager/Maintenance Supervisor with special maintenance projects as necessary
  • Assists in maintaining grounds and common areas and keeping them free from trash and debris
  • Assists in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies
  • Delivers various communications to residents or guests as needed
  • Assists with and attends property-sponsored activities and functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned


SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • Basic aptitude and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and functions
  • Experience or knowledge of lawn care, trees and shrubs, and pool maintenance preferred
  • Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
