Summary:
The DCOS Delivery Engineer is a highly technical, cross-functional leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Data Centre Operating System (DCOS) and its seamless integration with the Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform across global greenfield and live-retrofit data center projects. Acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for controls commissioning, the role bridges advanced system engineering with program management - ensuring that automated systems are commissioned, validated, and handed over to the highest operational standards.
This role suits a versatile professional with deep controls engineering expertise and proven leadership in mission-critical environments. You will drive the performance of system integrators, commissioning agents, and cross-functional stakeholders while following and continuously improving the policies, procedures, and standardized libraries that underpin DCOS delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
DCOS Commissioning / End-to-End Delivery
- Lead and manage the full commissioning lifecycle: Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Pre-Functional Testing (PFT), Functional Performance Testing (FPT), and Integrated System Testing (IST)
- Manage detailed commissioning plans, test scripts, and checklists for each phase; compile and present comprehensive reports at every stage
- Oversee inspection and verification of DCOS components against design specifications; validate network configurations, including IP addressing and VLAN setup
- Manage stress testing, redundancy tests, and final validation to confirm DCOS performance meets handover criteria
- Verify accurate data logging, alarm configuration, and trend analysis to support operational readiness
DCIM Integration & Onboarding
- Execute detailed integration plans for DCOS-to-DCIM connectivity, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability
- Read and interpret single-line drawings to build customer-facing hierarchy structures for DCIM onboarding
- Navigate the DCOS head end to validate DCIM tag points, confirm alarm alignment, and ensure configurations comply with established commissioning standards
- Verify system-level calculations, including resiliency scripts, utility power, and PUE; ensure BCM and Battery Monitoring systems are operational prior to DCIM onboarding

- Assist commissioning teams in preparing and delivering operational manuals, training materials, and as-built documentation
- Compile and present a complete handover report summarizing the commissioning process, validation outcomes, and final system configurations
- Share controls system design, operations, and project planning expertise broadly with the wider facilities organization to elevate team capability and optimize operations
