Senior SAP Basis Expert

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Basis Expert with comprehensive expertise in upgrading SAP S/4HANA systems.
This role demands ownership of the entire upgrade process from SAP S/4HANA 2020FP2 to SAP S/4HANA 2023FP3, ensuring flawless execution and ongoing system stability. The successful candidate will be instrumental in minimizing business interruptions while navigating through the complexities of the upgrade.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and lead the technical upgrade of SAP S/4HANA from 2020FP2 to 2023FP3
• Conduct detailed assessments including system landscape reviews and readiness checks
• Design and implement a parallel landscape setup and establish necessary system integrations
• Optimize downtime and streamline post-upgrade activities
• Troubleshoot pre and post-upgrade issues collaborating with various stakeholders
• Perform system health checks along with performance tuning throughout the process
• Build and manage the upgrade Transport management retrofit strategy and configuration
• Liaise with both functional and technical teams to facilitate SPDD/SPAU and other critical upgrade steps
• Guide internal teams expertly through all stages of the upgrade process
• Provide strategic insights into the integration of S4HANA with various SAP and non-SAP applications
• Maintain a focus on expert guidance to navigate any challenges faced during the upgrade

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in SAP basis environments with a focus on S4HANA upgrades
• Expertise in S4HANA Application, HANA Database, and Fiori Administration, focusing on upgrades, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in managing other connected SAP applications including SLT, GRC, Fiori, DP Agent, BW4HANA, Webdispatcher, ADS
• Competency in upgrade-related configurations and retrofit strategies
• Strong understanding of S4HANA integrations with other SAP & Non-SAP applications
• Proven experience in handling S4HANA upgrades from both functional and BASIS technical perspectives

• Background in managing complex system integrations involving SAP and non-SAP platforms
• Qualifications in advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization during SAP upgrades
• Skills in coordinating multi-disciplinary technical and functional teams in high-stakes environments
