Senior Mainframe Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Mainframe Online Services team with expertise in CICS and MQ subsystems and related products
• Provide2nd-level supportand assistance to application teams on CICS/MQ issues
• Performincident and problem managementfor CICS/MQ components while managing changes using IPCM
• Automate and optimize processes to maximize system throughput and service reliability
• Actively contribute to theAgile environmentwith a transformation-oriented mindset
• Enhance infrastructure reliability, adoptingSite Reliability Engineering (SRE)principles
• Take proactive measures to eliminate inefficiencies and enable automation

Requirements

• Strong skills inz/OS System Components,TSO,ISPF andJCL
• Proficiency in scripting languages such asREXXand/orPython
• Expertise inCICSandIBM MQ, including Cluster and QSG
• Basic knowledge ofDB2 Plans, Packages and SQL Statements
• Understanding ofLDAPandUSS on IBM Mainframe
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced situations
• Preparedness to be part of a24/7 on-call rotation
• Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage

Nice to have

• Familiarity with database systems and advanced SQL knowledge
• A strong foundation in common IT concepts, including Microsoft Office
