As a Databricks Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a pivotal role in shaping data strategies, optimizing data workflows and delivering advanced analytics solutions. This is an opportunity to leverage your deep expertise in Databricks and work with top-tier clients across industries, ensuring they unlock the full potential of their data.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Databricks SME, advocating for best practices and driving innovation in data solutions
  • Partner with clients to define and execute data strategies, leveraging Databricks for maximum impact
  • Design, develop and implement enterprise-level data platforms using Databricks and cloud technologies
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders to secure buy-in and funding for data-driven initiatives
  • Translate complex business needs into scalable Databricks solutions for ML/AI and advanced analytics
  • Provide hands-on implementation, troubleshooting and optimization of Databricks environments
  • Lead delivery teams, ensuring successful execution of projects and high client satisfaction
  • Foster strong client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted Databricks advisor
  • Identify opportunities to expand EPAM's footprint within client accounts and drive revenue growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Databricks certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Databricks Certified ML Practitioner)
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies in Databricks
  • Extensive experience in Data & Analytics, with a strong focus on Databricks and ML/AI platforms
  • Proven expertise in Databricks, including hands-on implementation, performance optimization and architecture design
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based data architectures (Azure, AWS or GCP) and their integration with Databricks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in translating business requirements into actionable data solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making
  • Experience in leading delivery teams and ensuring successful project execution
  • Track record of building and growing client relationships, acting as a thought leader and strategic partner
