Lead SAP ABAP Developer

We're in search of an experienced Lead Developer to join our team for a compelling project. In this role, 80% of your work will be dedicated to effective communication with the team and business stakeholders, with the remaining 20% focused on development.

As a Lead Developer, you will take the lead in our SAP S/4HANA Template Design & Pilot Implementation project. EPAM has been selected to drive digital transformation through the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, starting with the corporate template design, specifically in the direct sales and integration with e-commerce channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 SAP Developers, working closely with all project streams and providing support for all ABAP-related queries
• Lead the development team in project and support activities, ensuring efficient code review, code scanning, and dependency analysis
• Play an active role in extensive communication with the customer, understanding their needs and providing solutions
• Analyze project requirements, design, and implement effective solutions, contributing to the project's success
• Proactively identify and adProvide support in resolving defects and preparing fixes for installation into test and production systems.dress issues through team collaboration
• Ensure the produced code is secure, stable, and operational before handover to relevant teams

• A background as a Lead Software Engineer or higher, demonstrating strong management skills to effectively lead and support your team
• ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori
• ABAP RESTful Programming Model (ABAP RAP)
• Experience in CDS (Core Data Services), AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), RAP (RESTful Application Programming), SAP clean core concept, inApp extensibilities, and adaptation projects
• SAP ABAP in S/4HANA

• Knowledge of SAP direct sales and e-commerce channels
• Previous experience in driving digital transformation through SAP S/4HANA implementation
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and inApp extensibilities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
