We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in agile mode by using CI/CD capabilities and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Apply data science knowledge
  • Develop Functional and Technical architecture
Requirements
  • Mandatory prior experience of minimum 7-10 years in a related work experience
  • IT architecture and solution design in a data oriented ecosystem
  • Exposure to Cloud native data platforms and modern architectures (event-driven, real-time)
  • Thorough understanding of data lifecycle value chain and underlying components (ETL/ELT, DWH/Data Lake)
  • Familiar with SDLC tools & framework (CI/CD, Automation, monitoring)
  • Previous experience working in a scaled agile environment
  • Experience with retail, marketing, supply chain and finance is a plus
  • Working knowledge on data science development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge on delivering projects in agile mode by using CI/CD capabilities and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Azure data ecosystem (ingestion, storage, analytics & data visualization): Azure Ingestion framework, Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, MS PowerBI
  • Data modelling skills (from logical to physical model, different modelling techniques: star schema, data vault) and exposure to MPP frameworks
  • Functional and Technical architecture principles
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen
  • Teamwork and ability to operate within a large team in a matrix organization: involves others, shares knowledge and seeks opportunities for cross functional working and collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, verbal and writing and ability to translate complex matters into simple concepts
  • Experience with global enterprise organizations and working with offshore India based IT organizations
  • Flexible and proactive work attitude
Nice to have
  • Agile/SAFe certification is a plus
  • Azure Data Engineer or AWS/GCP equivalent is a plus
  • Azure Solutions Architect or AWS/GCP equivalent is a plus
  • Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA) is a plus
  • Willing to work at least 2 days a week from the Bucharest office
