This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (except for Alaska and/or Hawaii). Team members who choose virtual / remote work should have an adequate space to serve as their home office, and must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours. This position will require employees to come on site to one of our St. Louis campus locations a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed. #LI-REMOTE
Responsibilities
The Renter Solutions department has an exciting opportunity for an IT Test Engineer Senior role. The Renter Solutions team is responsible for the retention and maintenance of driver and loyalty profile information for EM customers, and making this data securely available to other services, solutions, and third-party vendors. You will be part of a technical team consisting of analysts, engineers, and other technical leaders responsible for a suite of applications and services, supporting Renter and Loyalty capabilities, using technologies such as Restful APIs, AWS Cloud, React, Oracle and Teradata.
Enterprise Mobility believes that our customer's experience should be first-class, so as a Test Engineer Senior you will become a "Customer Advocate." You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software functionality, but also presenting new ideas for process improvements.
The Test Engineer Senior is responsible for assessing and evaluating quality assurance test requirements to determine the scope of the functionality to be covered by testing. This position designs, produces, executes, and maintains software test plans and test cases. The Test Engineer Senior tests applications while documenting, tracking, and reporting on defects. This position also analyzes test results, leverages troubleshooting skills to assist with defining root cause, and coordinates and/or conducts re-testing after defects are addressed. The Test Engineer Senior provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

- Takes initiative and ownership for all testing efforts supported
- Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be productive in a remote, fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate in a clear, concise manner and effectively interact with the application development team in test progress, risks, and defect resolution
- Effectively manages time, with the ability to multi-task and work independently without close supervision
- Strong detail and process-oriented skills

Qualifications
Required:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
- Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- 3+ years of manual, multi-platform testing
- Experience using vendor software testing and documentation tools, such as JIRA, Zephyr and Confluence
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of different software development lifecycle approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.) and understanding how the role of testing fits into each approach
- Experience in a QA/QC software testing environment, including identifying required testing, performing analysis, and developing associated test plans
- Experience testing client-server/ web application/ web services testing tools
- Knowledge of structured testing techniques
- Experience testing Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
