Account Specialist - Truck Rental
Overview
Enterprise Truck Rental, a division of Enterprise Rent-A-Car has an opening for an Account Specialist at our Bend, OR location. The Account Specialist is responsible for influencing the buying decision, while exceeding the customer's expectations for service, knowledge and professionalism. The Account Specialist will be knowledgeable of our complete menu of services including vehicle acquisition, maintenance management, insurance management, licensing and cycling of our trucks.
The Account Specialist gains hands-on experience and knowledge to learn the business, to learn how to ultimately manage the branch and to support the entire business. The Account Specialist performs duties in all aspects of a branch to become familiar with line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each aspect of the business. The objective of the Account Specialist assignment is to educate Account Specialist as to all aspects of the business so that he or she can ultimately run the branch unit.
The objective of this position is a well rounded education and preparation for the Account Specialist to ultimately run the branch unit.
Responsibilities
We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:
Sales and Marketing/Financial Performance:
- Assist in branch sales and marketing efforts to increase customer base and branch revenue
- Sell optional protection products, rental terms and conditions, vehicle features and benefits, fuel options and additional equipment
- Deliver sales presentations to secure business utilizing the Enterprise Value Proposition and Enterprise Sales process
- Negotiate with accounts, overcome objections, and develop customized business solutions
- Prospect and target accounts to develop new business relationships
- Set up new account requirements including rate, service levels and payable terms
- Utilize CRM (sales management software)
- Apply appropriate rental charges and handle all forms of customer payment
- May collect and receive branch receivables or vehicles
Customer Service and Operations:
- Provide a high level of customer service by assisting customers and assessing their Truck rental needs in person and/or by phone
- Effectively market the company while picking up and/or dropping off customers in a safe and courteous manner and assisting customers as needed
- Conduct follow-up with customers and businesses, including insurance professionals, dealerships, body shops, roadside assistance, National Service Department, and mobile vendors.
- Clean vehicle interior and exterior by hand or by operating washing equipment when needed
- Notify management of any known customer problems
Fleet Management and Maintenance:
- Notify management of any known vehicle problems and any required vehicle maintenance
- Perform pre-rental inspections
- Understand and utilize fleet maintenance programs
- Learn how to inspect the quality of work that outside vendors perform

Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of one year prior successful sales experience. Prior experience in trucking, logistics, and/or business to business sales is a plus but not required
- Must have a valid drivers license withno more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years
- No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 3 years
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must be at least 21 years old
DOT Requirements:
We are subject to certain Department of Transportation Regulations. Please note the following:
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be qualified to drive under D.O.T. regulations.
- Applicants will be required to submit an appropriate medical examiner's certificate, or submit to and successfully complete a D.O.T. medical examination.
- DOT regulations require no moonlighting, meaning that if hired, no other paid employment is allowed.
