Solution Delivery Architect - Mainframe Software Keys

Reports to US Senior Manager, Solution Delivery Architects (Troy Parton)

India Evening Shift / UK Day Shift

Location: Remote - India

Will receive calls occasionally off shift/weekends when there are issues with Mainframe Keys

Summary objective of the job

This position will be part of the team that serves as the primary contact for software license keys for all Mainframe products, supporting the onboarding of new clients, the continued support of existing clients, and all disaster recovery activities. This role requires interaction with our clients/ Procurement/IT Sourcing team, our Sales team, our Service Management teams, and several technical delivery teams that are responsible for applying software license keys across our Mainframe client portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimal Requirements include a bachelor's degree and five years of vendor management and contract experience. Experience interacting with Mainframe software vendors for problem determination and resolution of software keys provided for their products is preferred. Successful associate should also be familiar with the software key acquisition process. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, to the level of creating documents which can be shared with clients, is required.

Secondary skills

This role will require interaction with our clients/ Procurement/IT Sourcing team, our Sales team, our Service Management teams, and several technical delivery teams that are responsible for applying software license keys across our Mainframe client portfolio. Experience with DocuSign CLM, Workday, ServiceNow, and SharePoint products is helpful as many of the day-to-day activities are performed with these tools.

Job duties and responsibilities

The following are common tasks that will be performed as part of this role:

  • Reading contracts/statements of work to understand the entitlement of software products
  • Creating/modifying Third Party Agreements (TPAs) for each in-scope Mainframe software vendor during a new client onboarding process
  • Research/validate vendor payments in Workday before requesting keys from Mainframe software vendors
  • Providing input to contract redlines/revisions
  • Hosting and leading calls with our clients' Procurement/IT Sourcing teams to obtain software purchases and renewals so software keys can be obtained to support the services
  • Interacting with internal Client Engagement Executives and Service Delivery Managers to address the software license key needs/issues for our clients and internal delivery teams
  • Contacting the Mainframe software vendors to obtain keys for expiring software product keys, CPU upgrades, migration projects, software upgrades, and disaster recovery tests and declarations
  • Open ticket in ServiceNow to communicate the receipt of a new software keys which triggers events to have the new keys applied and to have the Keys Tracking database updated
  • Creating and updating documentation relevant to the activities performed by the Mainframe Software Keys team
