Test Engineer

Job Description:

Position Summary:

Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and production design changes. Executes tests, designs test fixtures, equipment and test method development, and completes test reports for new products and design changes in manufacturing. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. This position must ensure related procedures compliance. May be responsible for determining test parameters and testing sample sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute product and materials tests to characterize and measure product performance and capability limits.
• Operate variety of test and measurement equipment, record and summarize collected data.
• Applying engineering fundamentals to practical problem-solving involving design, manufacturing, and validation of test methods, custom test fixtures, and test set ups.
• Support design verification activities including - writing test protocols, assisting with inspection and verification of test articles to specifications, overseeing test progress, providing direct input in test activities and preparing test reports at completion.
• Technical writing in support of design inputs, design outputs, qualification activities, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with failure mechanism analysis.
• Is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and business standards.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience
• Demonstrated, strong mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated experience operating mechanical load test equipment (MTS, Instron, Chatillon, or similar)
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience or other CAD software tools
• USA valid visa.
• English proficient: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
