What You'll Do

Job title: Senior Application Developer

Company: DJO, LLC (Lewisville, Texas)

Duties: Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-scale applications, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability for both internal and customer-facing solutions, focusing on MotionMD software. Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practices such as TDD, MVC, and REST. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design and ship new features. Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality across the team. Stay current with latest developments in the Ruby and Rails communities and incorporate best practices into the development process. Mentor Junior Developers. Participate in daily stand ups and contribute to the Agile development processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues. Optimize the application performance and ensure high availability by monitoring and tuning systems. Maintain and improve front-end integration with Rails applications to ensure seamless user experiences. Collaborate with the DevOps team to manage application deployments including after-hours deployments and implement and manage automated testing and continuous workflows using tools such as Rspec, CircleCI and Jenkins. May telecommute from anywhere in U.S.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems Technologies, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related. Must have 5 years of experience with: maintaining and supporting existing software applications and responsible for the production of the application; identifying, analyzing, and solving complex application issues and bugs; implementing and developing the application platform solution on Rails4 framework and backend scripting language in Ruby2.2 and implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) using Rspec; backend database MySQL in the existing application and refactoring the backend models and the logic for new enhancements; working on APIs where it communicates with third-party system integrators to fetch data and making sure to encrypt the data; and working on the User Interfaces using HTML, jQuery, CSS3, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
