High-Level Position Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and self-directed individual for our Continuous Improvement Program Manager position to own and lead the continuous improvement strategy for the Foot & Ankle (F&A) business unit. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for defining, deploying, and sustaining the F&A continuous improvement roadmap, ensuring alignment with operational strategy and business priorities. The role will drive strategic alignment of continuous improvement activities across Foot & Ankle operations and serve as the central architect and integrator of Lean initiatives across the business.

This position will lead efforts related to training, kaizen, process improvement projects, GEMBA walks, daily management, and productivity programs, while also shaping long-term operating model maturity and transformation outcomes. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role will be actively engaged in all critical processes across the business to simplify work, scale best practices, and deliver measurable value to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

  • Lead the development, execution, and governance of the Foot & Ankle Continuous Improvement (EGX) strategy, aligned to business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Establish a multi-year continuous improvement roadmap, including capability development, maturity targets, and value realization goals.
  • Define success metrics and ensure continuous improvement efforts generate sustainable, measurable operational and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to prioritize CI initiatives based on business value, risk, and strategic impact.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools (i.e., value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks, DMAIC, root cause problem solving) to identify and develop solutions that drive operational improvement.
  • Provide leadership by mentoring associates in the use of lean tools, ensuring transfer of knowledge, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coach, guide, empower, and mentor managers and employees in Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Collect and analyze data on plant processes, procedure, and performance using evaluation tools and make recommendations for improvement to Leadership Team.
  • Track, Monitor, and report regularly on status of projects.
  • Monitor product and process improvement milestones to ensure on-time completion and sustainability.
  • Analyze, develop, ratify, implement, and standardize best practices across the network.
  • Audit all established Lean Six Sigma processes to ensure sustainability.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM-related field
  • Certification in Lean or Six Sigma, with prior experience both leading and facilitating events
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, process improvement or related field. Medical Device experience is a plus.

Work environment | Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane as needed (travel out of the Houston metropolitan area will be needed)
  • Ability to tug, pull, or lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
