Job Title / High-Level Position Summary:

The General Manager, Canada is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company's operations within the Canadian market. This role provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and financial oversight to ensure the achievement of business objectives aligned with Enovis' global strategy.

The General Manager will drive sustainable growth, optimize organizational performance, and ensure strong cross-functional collaboration across commercial, operations, finance, regulatory, and support functions. This leader will play a critical role in shaping market strategy, strengthening organizational capability, and delivering long-term value for patients, customers, and the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the Canada business strategy aligned with Enovis' global vision and objectives.
  • Establish short- and long-term goals, operating plans, and performance metrics to drive business success.
  • Identify growth opportunities, including market expansion, new product introduction, and strategic partnerships.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Ensure alignment and integration across commercial, operations, supply chain, finance, and support functions.

Financial Management:

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Canada business.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Monitor performance against key financial and operational metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team across multiple functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Commercial and Market Leadership:

  • Partner with commercial teams to drive revenue growth, market share, and customer engagement.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong execution of go-to-market strategies and alignment with global commercial priorities.

Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all business activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Partner with regulatory and quality teams to maintain compliance within the Canadian healthcare landscape.
  • Identify and mitigate business risks to protect the organization's reputation and operations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary leader and representative of Enovis in Canada.
  • Collaborate with global leadership and cross-functional partners to align priorities and drive results.
  • Represent the company with external stakeholders, including industry organizations and key partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

Experience Required

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, with full accountability for business performance, including P&L ownership
  • Proven success leading and scaling businesses of comparable size and complexity (e.g., ~$30M revenue markets)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Support, and Marketing, with experience managing both direct and dotted-line reporting structures
  • Strong track record of driving organizational transformation, including talent development and sales force optimization
  • Deep expertise in go-to-market strategy, including execution across both direct and indirect sales channels
  • Experience evolving traditional sales models into more modern, progressive approaches
  • Familiarity with eCommerce and omni-channel strategies, including building or expanding digital sales capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in key account management and market strategy development
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations and collaborate cross-functionally to drive results
  • Experience within MedTech or a related industry preferred; exposure to surgical, bracing, or support products is a plus
  • Knowledge of payor and health insurance environments is preferred
