Vice President Sales, Energy Transition
Eaton's North America Sales organization is currently hiring for a Vice President Sales, Energy Transition. This position can be based at the following Eaton locations: Moon Township PA, Peachtree City GA, Raleigh NC or Charlotte NC. Relocation assistance within hiring country is offered and 50 percent travel is anticipated.
The primary function of the Energy Transition Segment Director is to lead the sales efforts in key emerging technologies and markets including analysis, positioning, coverage plan, and value proposition creating. This position must generate, validate, and execute the value propositions for Eaton's Energy Transition focus, including applications for Solar, Wind, Nuclear, EVCI, Microgrids and Energy Storage in North America. It has the responsibility to promote Eaton as a Thought Leader in these areas and identify needs of the customer through voice of customer feedback providing input to division road maps for segment-specific solutions. Direct the activities of segment focused Application Engineers and define across the regions target projects, capital expenditures, and identify prime opportunities with key accounts in the target market segment. It is essential to coach, direct, and train sales professionals in their respective assignments to succeed at managing and developing the customer base. This position must utilize sales resources while driving product and sales channels to market share gains throughout all NAS Regions
Position Overview:
The primary functions include: directing application and sales activities to achieve performance goals in accordance with marketing and sales plans; build close relationships with key customers and distributors to enhance sales volume and customer service; lead the effort in the development of solution sales in order to meet or exceed the sales objectives of all divisions involved for the assigned segment by leveraging Eaton solution capabilities; provide leadership for Renewable energy marketing, application and sales activities within the regions while leveraging existing North American Sales resources.
Essential job tasks include but are not limited to: 1) securing Eaton participation in key conferences and media publications to demonstrate Thought Leadership; 2) creating solution oriented customer facing marcom materials for applications; 3) providing Voice of Customer feedback to Eaton divisions to develop segment-specific solutions; 4) working with engineering companies, customers, and key stakeholders including sales engineers, application engineers and executive leadership personnel within our customer base; 5) identifying, developing, and training sales personnel within targeted districts relative to renewable energy initiatives; 6) planning and managing sales resources to assure adequate coverage is applied to accounts; 7) ensure strategic and district operation plans, major product launches, and key programs are properly planned, executed, and managed; 8) understand major competitors' tactics, organization, distribution strategy, and pricing while keeping management informed of trends and changes; and 9) understand Eaton electrical products and their competitive position in the Regions
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 10 years of sales and marketing experience within the electrical or renewable energy industry
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Renewable energy sales or marketing experience

• Understanding financial aspects of developing renewable energy projects
• Experience with Renewable / Distributed Energy, including Residential, Commercial and Utility scale applications
• Ability to build effective teams using time management, presentation, training, and teamwork skills
• Experience in a cross-functional business with demonstrated success in working within a heavily matrixed organization

The expected annual salary range for this role is $176000 - $258000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
